Getting there and around: Packages include road transfers and sightseeing from Ahmedabad, Vadodara, Rajkot, Jamnagar, Bhuj or Surat as specified. Distances in Saurashtra and Kutch are long. Flights or trains, safari permits, ropeways and boats are quoted or paid locally.
Where you stay: Standard / 3-star equivalent hotels with breakfast, as listed on each package; simple stays at Dholavira and some temple towns.
- Gujarat is a dry state; alcohol is served only to permit holders.
- Book Gir safari permits early; numbers are limited.
- Carry an ID for the White Rann permit.
- Most temples close in the afternoon; plan darshan for the morning or evening.
