Gujarat is a dry state: alcohol is served only to permit holders. Temples set their own darshan timings and dress codes. Safari permits, boats, ropeways, shows and entry fees are paid locally or booked in advance. Gir National Park is closed from 16 June to 15 October; jeep safari permits are booked online in advance and are limited.

Day 1 — Rajkot to Sasan Gir
Arrive at Rajkot airport or station, where our representative meets you, and drive to Sasan Gir (about 160 km, 3.5 hours). In the afternoon, visit the Devalia safari park, where lions, leopards and deer are seen in a large fenced area (paid locally). Overnight stay at Sasan Gir.

Day 2 — Gir jeep safari
An early morning jeep safari in Gir National Park, the only home of the Asiatic lion in the wild (permit booked in advance, paid locally). Later, visit the Siddi village of Jambur, known for its Dhamal dance, or the Kamleshwar dam with its crocodiles. Overnight stay at Sasan Gir.

Day 3 — Sasan Gir to Rajkot
After breakfast and, if you have a second permit, another short drive in the forest, travel back to Rajkot (about 160 km) for your onward journey. The tour ends here.
