Gujarat is a dry state: alcohol is served only to permit holders. Temples set their own darshan timings and dress codes. Safari permits, boats, ropeways, shows and entry fees are paid locally or booked in advance. The Wild Ass Sanctuary is closed in the monsoon, usually from about mid-June to mid-October.

Day 1 — Ahmedabad to Dasada
Arrive at Ahmedabad airport or station, where our representative meets you, and drive to Dasada (about 100 km) on the edge of the Little Rann of Kutch. In the late afternoon, a jeep drive onto the salt flats for the Indian wild ass, found nowhere else, and the sunset (jeep and permit paid locally). Overnight stay at Dasada.

Day 2 — Salt pans and birds
A dawn jeep drive for wild ass, nilgai, desert foxes and, in winter, flamingos, cranes and pelicans. Later, visit the salt workers (Agariyas) who harvest salt from the pans, and a Rabari village of herders. Overnight stay at Dasada.

Day 3 — Dasada to Ahmedabad
After breakfast, drive back towards Ahmedabad, stopping at the Modhera Sun Temple if time allows (about 30 km detour), before your onward journey. The tour ends here.

- Cancellation 30 days or more before departure: non-refundable deposit (25% of the total package).

- Between 19 and 14 days before departure: non-refundable deposit + 50% of the holiday cost.
- Between 13 and 8 days before departure: non-refundable deposit + 75% of the holiday cost.
- Within 7 days of departure: 100% of the holiday cost.
