This is a suggested day-by-day plan. Timings, the order of sightseeing and hotels are confirmed with your quote.

Indian visitors need an Inner Line Permit (ILP) for Arunachal Pradesh, applied for online before travel (fees as per the rules); foreign nationals need a Protected Area Permit. Mountain roads can close for landslides or snow, and travel times are approximate. Entry fees and local guides are paid locally. Kaziranga's safari ranges close from about May to October.

  1. Day 1 — Guwahati to Bomdila

    Arrive at Guwahati airport or railway station, where our representative meets you, and drive north through Bhalukpong (permit check) to Bomdila (about 280 km, 8–9 hours). Overnight stay in Bomdila.

  2. Day 2 — Bomdila to Tawang

    After breakfast, drive over the Sela pass to Tawang (about 180 km), stopping at the Jaswant Garh war memorial. Overnight stay in Tawang.

  3. Day 3 — Tawang monastery

    After breakfast, visit the Tawang monastery, the largest in India, founded in the 17th century, with its library and giant Buddha statue, the Tawang war memorial, and the Urgelling monastery, birthplace of the 6th Dalai Lama. Overnight stay in Tawang.

  4. Day 4 — Free day or Bum La

    A free day in Tawang, or an optional trip to Bum La pass and Madhuri lake with the army permit (shared vehicle paid locally). Overnight stay in Tawang.

  5. Day 5 — Tawang to Dirang

    Drive back over the Sela pass to Dirang, stopping at the Nuranang falls. Evening at the hot springs. Overnight stay in Dirang.

  6. Day 6 — Dirang to Kaziranga

    A long drive down to the plains and east to Kaziranga across the Kolia Bhomora bridge (about 280 km, 8 hours). Overnight stay at Kaziranga.

  7. Day 7 — Kaziranga safaris

    Morning and afternoon jeep safaris in the Central and Western ranges of Kaziranga National Park for the one-horned rhino, wild buffalo and elephants (safari paid locally). Overnight stay at Kaziranga.

  8. Day 8 — Kaziranga to Guwahati

    After breakfast, drive west to Guwahati (about 200 km, 5 hours). In the afternoon, visit the Kamakhya temple on Nilachal hill, one of the most important Shakti Peeths, and the Brahmaputra riverfront. Overnight stay in Guwahati.

  9. Day 9 — Departure from Guwahati

    After breakfast, there is time for the Assam State Museum or a little shopping for Assam silk and tea before the transfer to Guwahati airport or station. The tour ends here.

  • Air and train tickets need full payment.

  • Check-in and check-out as per hotel policy.
  • A booking voucher is issued once payment is received.
  • Extra adult 35% and extra child 25% of the package cost (children below 5 complimentary).
  • If a listed hotel is unavailable, accommodation is arranged in a hotel of similar standard.
  • Transport is provided as per the itinerary and is not at disposal; sightseeing depends on the time available.
  • Cancellation 30 days or more before departure: non-refundable deposit (25% of the total package).
  • Between 29 and 20 days before departure: non-refundable deposit + 25% of the holiday cost.
  • Between 19 and 14 days before departure: non-refundable deposit + 50% of the holiday cost.
  • Between 13 and 8 days before departure: non-refundable deposit + 75% of the holiday cost.
  • Within 7 days of departure: 100% of the holiday cost.
  • Any refund due is paid after Holiday Guru Travel receives the refund from the service providers; processing charges are deducted.
