Day 1 — Bhubaneswar to Mangalajodi
Arrive at Bhubaneswar airport or railway station, where our representative meets you, and drive to Mangalajodi on the northern edge of Chilika (about 70 km). In the late afternoon, a country-boat ride through the reed channels, where thousands of migratory ducks and waders winter (boat and guide paid locally). Overnight stay near Mangalajodi.

Day 2 — Morning birding – Barkul
A dawn boat for the birds at their most active, then drive to Barkul and take the boat to the Kalijai temple on its island in the lagoon (paid locally). Overnight stay at Barkul or Rambha.

A free morning by the lagoon, and a boat to the Nalabana bird sanctuary island in season (paid locally). Overnight stay at Barkul or Rambha.
