Day 1 — Bhubaneswar to Puri
Arrive at Bhubaneswar airport or railway station, where our representative meets you, and take the road south to Puri (around 1.5 hours), breaking the journey at the white Peace Pagoda on Dhauli hill, the site of the Kalinga war, and in Pipili, where the lanes are hung with bright appliqué lanterns and canopies. Overnight stay in Puri.

Day 2 — Jagannath and Konark
Early darshan at the Jagannath temple, then follow the coast road through casuarina groves to Konark (about 35 km), where the Sun Temple of King Narasimhadeva stands as a great stone chariot drawn by seven horses on 24 carved wheels, a UNESCO World Heritage Site (entry paid locally), with a stop at Chandrabhaga beach and the Ramachandi temple. Overnight stay in Puri.

Day 3 — Satapada to Gopalpur
After breakfast, go down to Satapada at the mouth of Chilika, the largest brackish-water lake in Asia, and take a motorboat out to look for the rare Irrawaddy dolphins and to the sandbar where the lagoon opens to the sea (boat paid locally). Then drive on round the lagoon to Gopalpur-on-Sea. Overnight stay in Gopalpur.

Day 4 — Gopalpur
A free day on the quiet beach of Gopalpur, with the lighthouse and the old port. Overnight stay in Gopalpur.

Day 5 — Gopalpur to Bhubaneswar
Drive back to Bhubaneswar (about 180 km). In the afternoon, visit the Lingaraj temple, the Mukteswara temple with its carved gateway, and the Rajarani temple, then the Jain caves of Udayagiri and Khandagiri (entry paid locally). Overnight stay in Bhubaneswar.
