Non-Hindus are not allowed inside the Jagannath temple at Puri or the Lingaraj temple in Bhubaneswar (the Lingaraj can be seen from a viewing platform). Boat trips, safaris and entry fees are paid locally. Travel times are approximate.

Day 1 — Arrive in Bhubaneswar
Arrive at Bhubaneswar airport or railway station, where our representative meets you. In the afternoon, see the old temple town of Bhubaneswar: the towering Lingaraj, the small, richly carved Mukteswara, often called the gem of Odisha architecture, and the red-sandstone Rajarani, followed by the hill caves cut for Jain monks at Udayagiri and Khandagiri (fees paid locally). Overnight stay in Bhubaneswar.

Day 2 — Konark – Puri
After breakfast, follow the coast road through casuarina groves to Konark (about 35 km), where the Sun Temple of King Narasimhadeva stands as a great stone chariot drawn by seven horses on 24 carved wheels, a UNESCO World Heritage Site (entry paid locally), with a stop at Chandrabhaga beach and the Ramachandi temple. Continue to Puri. Evening on the beach. Overnight stay in Puri.

Day 3 — Jagannath and Raghurajpur
A morning at the Jagannath temple for darshan and the sight of the mahaprasad kitchens at work (no phones or leather inside), then the Gundicha temple at the end of the Rath Yatra road. After lunch, visit the heritage crafts village of Raghurajpur for pattachitra paintings. Evening by the sea. Overnight stay in Puri.

Day 4 — Chilika lagoon
After breakfast, drive to Satapada on the Chilika lagoon, Asia's largest brackish-water lagoon, for a boat trip to see the Irrawaddy dolphins and the sea mouth where the lagoon meets the Bay of Bengal (boat paid locally). Return to Puri. Overnight stay in Puri.

Day 5 — Puri to Bhubaneswar
A last walk on the beach, then the drive from Puri to Bhubaneswar (about 60 km) and your onward connection. The tour ends here.
