Simlipal is usually open from about November to June and closed in the monsoon; entry permits are limited each day. Park entry, vehicle and forest lodge are paid locally or quoted separately.

Day 1 — Bhubaneswar to Baripada
Arrive at Bhubaneswar airport or railway station, where our representative meets you, and drive north to Baripada (about 250 km, 5–6 hours), the gateway to Simlipal. Overnight stay in Baripada or near the park gate.

Day 2 — Into Simlipal
Enter the tiger reserve by the Pithabata gate in a permitted vehicle (entry and vehicle paid locally) through sal forests to the Barehipani falls, one of the highest in India, and the Joranda falls. Overnight stay in a forest lodge or near the park.

Day 3 — Simlipal
A second day in the forest for elephants, gaur and birds, and the Chahala meadows. Overnight stay in a forest lodge or near the park.
