Non-Hindus are not allowed inside the Jagannath temple at Puri or the Lingaraj temple in Bhubaneswar (the Lingaraj can be seen from a viewing platform). Boat trips, safaris and entry fees are paid locally. Travel times are approximate.

Day 1 — Bhubaneswar to Puri
Arrive at Bhubaneswar airport or railway station, where our representative meets you. In the morning, visit the Lingaraj temple, the Mukteswara temple with its carved gateway, and the Rajarani temple, then the Jain caves of Udayagiri and Khandagiri (entry paid locally). Then drive to Puri (about 60 km), stopping at Dhauli, where Emperor Ashoka turned to Buddhism after the Kalinga war, and at Pipili, the village of appliqué work. Overnight stay in Puri.

Day 2 — Jagannath and Raghurajpur
Early in the morning, have darshan at the Jagannath temple, one of the four Char Dham shrines (mobile phones and leather are not allowed inside). Later, visit the Gundicha temple and the crafts village of Raghurajpur, known for its pattachitra paintings. Evening on Puri beach. Overnight stay in Puri.

Day 3 — Konark Sun Temple
After breakfast, drive along the Marine Drive to Konark (about 35 km) for the 13th-century Sun Temple, built as a giant chariot with twelve pairs of carved wheels, a UNESCO World Heritage Site (entry paid locally), and Chandrabhaga beach. Return to Puri. Overnight stay in Puri.

Day 4 — Puri to Bhubaneswar
After breakfast, drive from Puri to Bhubaneswar (about 60 km) for your onward journey. The tour ends here.
