Non-Hindus are not allowed inside the Jagannath temple at Puri or the Lingaraj temple in Bhubaneswar (the Lingaraj can be seen from a viewing platform). Boat trips, safaris and entry fees are paid locally. Travel times are approximate.

Day 1 — Jharsuguda to Sambalpur
Arrive at Jharsuguda airport or station, where our representative meets you, and drive to Sambalpur (about 50 km). Visit the Samaleswari temple and the weaving lanes, home of the Sambalpuri ikat sari. Overnight stay in Sambalpur.

Day 2 — Hirakud dam and Huma
After breakfast, drive to the Hirakud dam, one of the longest earthen dams in the world, with the view from the Gandhi and Nehru towers, then the leaning Shiva temple at Huma on the Mahanadi. Overnight stay in Sambalpur.

Day 3 — Debrigarh wildlife sanctuary
Drive to the Debrigarh sanctuary on the Hirakud reservoir for a jeep drive or boat for gaur, deer and migratory birds in winter (paid locally). Overnight stay at Debrigarh or Sambalpur.

Day 4 — Back to Sambalpur
A morning in the sanctuary, then back to Sambalpur and its handloom market. Overnight stay in Sambalpur.

- A booking voucher is issued once payment is received.

- Transport is provided as per the itinerary and is not at disposal; sightseeing depends on the time available.
- Cancellation 30 days or more before departure: non-refundable deposit (25% of the total package).
- Between 29 and 20 days before departure: non-refundable deposit + 25% of the holiday cost.
- Between 19 and 14 days before departure: non-refundable deposit + 50% of the holiday cost.
- Between 13 and 8 days before departure: non-refundable deposit + 75% of the holiday cost.
- Within 7 days of departure: 100% of the holiday cost.
- Any refund due is paid after Holiday Guru Travel receives the refund from the service providers; processing charges are deducted.
