Indian visitors need an Inner Line Permit (ILP) for Nagaland, applied for online before travel (fees as per the rules); foreign nationals need a Protected Area Permit. Mountain roads can close for landslides or snow, and travel times are approximate. Entry fees and local guides are paid locally. Stays in Mon and Longwa are simple; a respectful approach is expected in the villages, so please ask before photographing people.
Arrive at Dibrugarh airport, where our representative meets you, and drive to Sivasagar (about 80 km) for the Ahom monuments: the Shivadol temple, the Rang Ghar and the Talatal Ghar. Overnight stay in Sivasagar.

Drive through Sonari into Nagaland to Mon (about 110 km), home of the Konyak Nagas, once headhunters, known for their facial tattoos. Overnight stay in Mon.

Drive to Longwa (about 40 km), a Konyak village that sits across the India–Myanmar border; the chief's (Angh's) house stands half in each country. Overnight stay in a Longwa homestay.

A morning walk through Longwa and its fields, then back to Mon and the nearby villages of Shangnyu or Chui. Overnight stay in Mon.

A day visiting Konyak villages with a local guide (paid locally), to see the morungs and woodcarving. Overnight stay in Mon.

After breakfast, leave the Konyak hills and drive back through Sonari to Dibrugarh (about 160 km, 5 hours), with time in the evening for the Brahmaputra riverfront. Overnight stay in Dibrugarh.

After breakfast, there is time for a walk on the Brahmaputra riverfront or a last look at a tea garden before the transfer to Dibrugarh airport for your onward journey. The tour ends here.
