Hill roads are slow and travel times are approximate. Boat rides, safaris, cave and park entry fees are paid locally. Meghalaya is wettest from June to September, when some trails are slippery but the waterfalls are at their fullest.

Day 1 — Guwahati to Shillong
You are met at Guwahati and driven up the GS Road to Shillong, Meghalaya's capital, at about 1,500 m. The barrage lake at Umiam makes a good tea stop. The rest of the evening is free in town. Overnight stay in Shillong.

Day 2 — Laitlum canyons and Smit
After breakfast, drive to the Laitlum canyons (about 25 km) for the view down into deep green valleys and the village of Rasong far below, then the Smit village with the house of the Khyrim king. Overnight stay in Shillong.

Day 3 — Mawsynram
A day trip to Mawsynram (about 60 km), one of the wettest places on earth, for the Mawjymbuin cave with its natural stone shaped like a Shiva lingam, and the view from the Symper rock. Return to Shillong. Overnight stay in Shillong.

Day 4 — Shillong to Guwahati
Leave Shillong after breakfast for the drive down to Guwahati (about 100 km), in time for your train or flight. The tour ends here.

- A booking voucher is issued once payment is received.

- Transport is provided as per the itinerary and is not at disposal; sightseeing depends on the time available.
- Cancellation 30 days or more before departure: non-refundable deposit (25% of the total package).
- Between 29 and 20 days before departure: non-refundable deposit + 25% of the holiday cost.
- Between 19 and 14 days before departure: non-refundable deposit + 50% of the holiday cost.
- Between 13 and 8 days before departure: non-refundable deposit + 75% of the holiday cost.
- Within 7 days of departure: 100% of the holiday cost.
