This is a suggested day-by-day plan. Timings, the order of sightseeing and hotels are confirmed with your quote.
Hill roads are slow and travel times are approximate. Boat rides, safaris, cave and park entry fees are paid locally. Meghalaya is wettest from June to September, when some trails are slippery but the waterfalls are at their fullest. The Nongriat trek is steep and suits reasonably fit walkers only.

Day 1 — Guwahati to Shillong
You are met at Guwahati and driven up the GS Road to Shillong, Meghalaya's capital, at about 1,500 m. The barrage lake at Umiam makes a good tea stop. The rest of the evening is free in town. Overnight stay in Shillong.

Day 2 — Shillong to Cherrapunji
Head south across the plateau to Sohra, the old Cherrapunji, stopping above the Duwan Sing Syiem bridge at the Mawkdok gorge. The day takes in Nohkalikai, one of India's tallest plunge falls, the lit limestone passages of Mawsmai cave, and the Seven Sisters falls spilling off the edge towards Bangladesh. Overnight stay in Cherrapunji.

Day 3 — Trek to the double-decker root bridge
A full-day walk from Tyrna down about 3,500 steps to Nongriat village and its double-decker living root bridge, grown from rubber-fig roots by the Khasi people, with the Rainbow Falls further on for fit walkers (guide paid locally; the climb back is hard). Overnight stay in Cherrapunji.

Day 4 — Cherrapunji to Shillong
A slow morning to rest the legs, then drive back to Shillong, visiting the Mawkdok valley viewpoint and Elephant Falls. Overnight stay in Shillong.

A last morning in the hills, then the road down from Shillong to Guwahati (about 100 km) and your onward connection. The tour ends here.

- Air and train tickets need full payment.

- A booking voucher is issued once payment is received.
- Extra adult 35% and extra child 25% of the package cost (children below 5 complimentary).

- Cancellation 30 days or more before departure: non-refundable deposit (25% of the total package).
