In short: Kohima and the Dzukou Valley Trek is a 5-night, 6-day tour that also covers Dimapur and Viswema. It starts in Dimapur and ends in Dimapur. It includes daily breakfast. The itinerary can be customised.
This is a suggested day-by-day plan. Timings, the order of sightseeing and hotels are confirmed with your quote.
Indian visitors need an Inner Line Permit (ILP) for Nagaland, applied for online before travel (fees as per the rules); foreign nationals need a Protected Area Permit. Mountain roads can close for landslides or snow, and travel times are approximate. Entry fees and local guides are paid locally. The Dzukou trek is steep in parts and suits reasonably fit walkers; the rest house is basic.
Arrive at Dimapur airport or railway station, where our representative meets you. See the Kachari ruins, then drive up to Kohima (about 75 km, 3 hours). Overnight stay in Kohima.

After breakfast, visit the Kohima War Cemetery on the old tennis court where the 1944 battle was fought, the Nagaland State Museum, and the Kisama Heritage Village, with the traditional houses (morungs) of the Naga tribes (entry paid locally). Overnight stay in Kohima.

Drive to Viswema (about 20 km) and walk up to the Dzukou valley (about 3–4 hours), a high valley of rolling green hills known for its lilies in summer, with a guide (paid locally). Overnight in the simple trekkers' rest house or tents.

Sunrise over the valley, then walk down by the Zakhama trail and drive back to Kohima. Overnight stay in Kohima.

A free day in Kohima, or a visit to Khonoma village. Overnight stay in Kohima.

Best time: October to April is the best time to visit Arunachal and Nagaland; the Hornbill Festival in Kohima is held from 1 to 10 December.
