Monuments and temples set their own timings; Ajanta is closed on Mondays and Ellora on Tuesdays. Ferries, boats, entry fees and special darshan passes are paid locally. Ghat roads are slow in the monsoon.

Day 1 — Pune to Mahabaleshwar
Arrive at Pune airport or station, where our representative meets you, and drive to Mahabaleshwar (about 120 km, 3 hours) through the Pasarni ghat, stopping at Panchgani on the way. Evening boat on the Venna lake (paid locally) and the market. Overnight stay in Mahabaleshwar.

Day 2 — Viewpoints and Pratapgad
Morning at Arthur's Seat, Elephant's Head and Kate's Point, high above the Konkan valleys, and the old Mahabaleshwar temple at the source of the Krishna. In the afternoon, drive to Pratapgad, Shivaji Maharaj's hill fort (about 24 km). Overnight stay in Mahabaleshwar.

Day 3 — Panchgani and the strawberry farms
Visit Panchgani's Table Land, a wide laterite plateau, the Sydney point and the Parsi point, and a strawberry farm in season (December to April) for fresh fruit and cream. Overnight stay in Mahabaleshwar.

Day 4 — Mahabaleshwar to Pune
After breakfast, drive back to Pune (about 120 km), stopping at the Mapro garden in Gureghar, for your onward journey. The tour ends here.
