Monuments and temples set their own timings; Ajanta is closed on Mondays and Ellora on Tuesdays. Ferries, boats, entry fees and special darshan passes are paid locally. Ghat roads are slow in the monsoon.

Day 1 — Arrive in Aurangabad
Arrive at Aurangabad (Chhatrapati Sambhajinagar) airport or station, where our representative meets you. In the afternoon, see the Bibi ka Maqbara, built for Aurangzeb's wife and modelled on the Taj Mahal, and the Panchakki water mill. Overnight stay in Aurangabad.

Day 2 — Ellora and Daulatabad
Drive to Ellora (about 30 km; closed Tuesdays), a UNESCO World Heritage Site of 34 Buddhist, Hindu and Jain caves, with the Kailasa temple carved down from a single rock. Visit the Grishneshwar Jyotirlinga nearby, and the Daulatabad fort on its cone of rock on the way back (entry paid locally). Overnight stay in Aurangabad.

Day 3 — Ajanta caves
A day trip to Ajanta (about 100 km; closed Mondays), where Buddhist monks cut 30 caves into a horseshoe gorge and painted them with the Jataka stories from the 2nd century BC; a shuttle bus runs from the visitor centre (entry and bus paid locally). Overnight stay in Aurangabad.

Day 4 — Departure from Aurangabad
After breakfast, visit a Paithani and Himroo weaving workshop, then the transfer to Aurangabad airport or station for your onward journey. The tour ends here.
