This is a suggested day-by-day plan. Timings, the order of sightseeing and hotels are confirmed with your quote.

An Inner Line Permit is required for Nubra, Pangong, Tso Moriri and Turtuk; permit fees are paid as per the rules. The Manali–Leh road is open only in summer (usually June to September), depending on snow.

  1. Day 1 — Arrive Manali

    Arrive in Manali and check in. In the afternoon, visit the Hadimba temple in its cedar forest, the hot springs at Vashisht and the Mall Road. Overnight stay in Manali.

  2. Day 2 — Manali to Jispa via Atal Tunnel

    After breakfast, drive through the Atal Tunnel into Lahaul and along the Chandra and Bhaga rivers to Jispa (about 140 km, 5 hours), a riverside stop that helps you adjust before the high passes. Overnight stay in Jispa.

  3. Day 3 — Jispa to Leh over the high passes

    An early start for the long drive to Leh (about 330 km, 11–12 hours) over the Baralacha La, through Sarchu and the More plains and over the Tanglang La, one of the highest passes on the route. Overnight stay in Leh.

  4. Day 4 — Rest and Leh sightseeing

    Rest in the morning to recover from the drive, then visit Leh Palace and the Shanti Stupa. Overnight stay in Leh.

  5. Day 5 — Leh to Nubra via Khardung La

    After breakfast, drive to Nubra valley (about 120 km, 5 hours) over the Khardung La pass, one of the highest motorable roads. In Nubra, visit the Diskit monastery with its large Maitreya Buddha and the Hunder sand dunes, where double-humped Bactrian camel rides are available (paid locally). Overnight stay in Nubra.

  6. Day 6 — Nubra to Pangong lake

    After breakfast, drive from Nubra to Pangong lake (about 160 km, 6 hours) along the Shyok river. The lake, about 4,250 m high, changes colour from blue to green through the day. Overnight stay at Pangong.

  7. Day 7 — Pangong to Leh

    Watch the morning light on Pangong lake, then drive back to Leh (about 160 km, 5–6 hours) over the Chang La pass, stopping at Thiksey monastery on the way if time allows. Overnight stay in Leh.

  8. Day 8 — Leh sightseeing

    After breakfast, Leh sightseeing along the Srinagar road: the Hall of Fame war museum, Gurudwara Pathar Sahib, the Magnetic Hill and the Sangam of the Indus and Zanskar rivers. Return via the Spituk monastery. Overnight stay in Leh.

  9. Day 9 — Departure from Leh

    An early breakfast and transfer to Leh airport for your onward flight, with memories of Ladakh's passes and lakes. The tour ends here.

  • Air and train tickets need full payment.
  • Mode of payment: net banking, IMPS, NEFT, cheque, UPI (Google Pay, PhonePe, Paytm) or QR code. Cash is not accepted.
  • Check-in and check-out as per hotel policy.
  • A booking voucher is issued once payment is received.
  • Extra adult 35% and extra child 25% of the package cost (children below 5 complimentary).
  • If a listed hotel is unavailable, accommodation is arranged in a hotel of similar standard.
  • Transport is provided as per the itinerary and is not at disposal; sightseeing depends on the time available.
  • Cancellation 30 days or more before departure: non-refundable deposit (25% of the total package).
  • Between 29 and 20 days before departure: non-refundable deposit + 25% of the holiday cost.
  • Between 19 and 14 days before departure: non-refundable deposit + 50% of the holiday cost.
  • Between 13 and 8 days before departure: non-refundable deposit + 75% of the holiday cost.
  • Within 7 days of departure: 100% of the holiday cost.
  • Any refund due is paid after Holiday Guru Travel receives the refund from the service providers; processing charges are deducted.
