The first day in Leh is for rest at high altitude (3,500 m); please follow it. Permits and environment fees for protected areas are applied for as per the current rules and paid locally. Stays in remote villages are simple homestays or camps.

Day 1 — Arrive in Leh – rest
Arrive at Leh airport, where our representative meets you, and transfer to your hotel. Rest for the day to get used to the altitude of about 3,500 m; a short evening walk in the Leh market only if you feel well. Overnight stay in Leh.

Day 2 — Leh sightseeing
An easy second day to settle into the altitude: the Leh palace, the Shanti Stupa, the Hall of Fame army museum and the Spituk monastery above the airport, with rest in the afternoon. Overnight stay in Leh.

Day 3 — Leh to Tso Kar
Drive south up the Indus to Upshi and over the Taglang La (about 5,300 m) on the Manali road, then across the Moray plains to Tso Kar (about 160 km), a salt lake where black-necked cranes and kiangs (wild asses) are seen. Overnight stay at a Tso Kar camp (simple).

Day 4 — Puga – Leh
A dawn walk by the lake shore and the small Thukje monastery, watching for the nomad tents of the Changpa herders, then drive back via the Puga valley of sulphur and borax springs to Leh. Overnight stay in Leh.

Day 5 — Hemis and Thiksey
Visit the Thiksey monastery, the Shey palace with its copper Buddha, and Hemis, the largest monastery of Ladakh, tucked into a side valley, with its museum of thangkas (entry paid locally). Overnight stay in Leh.

After breakfast, the transfer to Leh airport for your flight home. The tour ends here.

- To book and confirm your tour, pay 35% of the total package cost as an advance; the balance is due before departure.
- Air and train tickets need full payment.
- Mode of payment: net banking, IMPS, NEFT, cheque, UPI (Google Pay, PhonePe, Paytm) or QR code. Cash is not accepted.
- Check-in and check-out as per hotel policy.
- A booking voucher is issued once payment is received.
- Extra adult 35% and extra child 25% of the package cost (children below 5 complimentary).
- If a listed hotel is unavailable, accommodation is arranged in a hotel of similar standard.
- Transport is provided as per the itinerary and is not at disposal; sightseeing depends on the time available.
- Cancellation 30 days or more before departure: non-refundable deposit (25% of the total package).
- Between 29 and 20 days before departure: non-refundable deposit + 25% of the holiday cost.
- Between 19 and 14 days before departure: non-refundable deposit + 50% of the holiday cost.
- Between 13 and 8 days before departure: non-refundable deposit + 75% of the holiday cost.
- Within 7 days of departure: 100% of the holiday cost.
- Any refund due is paid after Holiday Guru Travel receives the refund from the service providers; processing charges are deducted.
