Day 1 — Arrive in Kannur
Arrive at Kannur airport or station, where our representative meets you. Visit the St Angelo fort built by the Portuguese, the Arakkal museum of Kerala's only Muslim royal family, and the Payyambalam beach at sunset. Overnight stay in Kannur.

Day 2 — Theyyam
With a local guide (paid locally), attend a theyyam at a village kavu (shrine), where performers in vast headdresses and painted faces become the deity in a night-long ritual; performances follow the temple calendar, mostly December to April. Earlier, the Parassinikadavu Muthappan temple, where theyyam is offered every day. Overnight stay in Kannur.

Day 3 — Thalassery and Muzhappilangad
Drive along the Muzhappilangad drive-in beach, one of the longest in Asia, to Thalassery for its fort, the old spice warehouses and the bakeries said to have baked Kerala's first cakes; visit a handloom weaving unit in Kannur. Overnight stay in Kannur.
