Arrive in Kolkata, where our representative meets you, and drive to Shantiniketan (about 160 km), Rabindranath Tagore's university town, a UNESCO World Heritage Site. Evening at the Kopai river. Overnight stay in Shantiniketan.

Walk through the Visva-Bharati campus with its open-air classes, the Uttarayan complex of Tagore's houses and the Rabindra Bhavana museum (check closing days), and the murals of Kala Bhavana; on Saturdays, the Sonajhuri haat of Baul singers and village crafts. Overnight stay in Shantiniketan.

Drive to Bishnupur (about 150 km), the temple town of the Malla kings, for its terracotta temples: the Rasmancha, Shyam Rai with its carved panels, Jor Bangla and Madan Mohan, and the Dalmadal cannon. Visit a Baluchari sari weaver. Overnight stay in Bishnupur.
Overnight: Bishnupur
After breakfast and a look at the terracotta horse makers of Panchmura, drive back to Kolkata (about 150 km) for your onward journey. The tour ends here.
