This is a suggested day-by-day plan. Timings, the order of sightseeing and hotels are confirmed with your quote.
Protected-area permits (Nathu La, Dzongu and others) are applied for with your ID and paid as per the rules; some areas are closed to foreign nationals. Roads close at times for landslides. Local taxis, permits and entry fees are paid locally. The rhododendrons bloom from about April to May. Stays are simple.

Day 1 — Bagdogra to Uttarey
Arrive at Bagdogra airport or New Jalpaiguri station, where our representative meets you, and drive to Uttarey on the Nepal border in far west Sikkim (about 160 km). Overnight stay in Uttarey.

Day 2 — Uttarey
Walk to the Mainbas waterfall and the Chitrey monastery, and up towards the Singalila ridge viewpoint for the Kanchenjunga range; evening by the Uttarey lake. Overnight stay in Uttarey.

Day 3 — Uttarey to Okhrey
Drive to Okhrey (about 50 km) via Sombaria, a Sherpa village among the rhododendron and magnolia forests, and visit its monastery and the village fields. Overnight stay in Okhrey.

Day 4 — Barsey rhododendron sanctuary
Drive to Hilley and walk about 4 km through the Barsey Rhododendron Sanctuary, at its best from April to May, to the Guras Kunj hut for the view of the snows (entry paid locally). Overnight stay in Okhrey.

Day 5 — Okhrey to Bagdogra
After breakfast, drive back down through Jorethang and the Rangeet valley to Bagdogra (about 150 km) for your onward journey. The tour ends here.

- To book and confirm your tour, pay 35% of the total package cost as an advance; the balance is due before departure.
- Air and train tickets need full payment.
- Mode of payment: net banking, IMPS, NEFT, cheque, UPI (Google Pay, PhonePe, Paytm) or QR code. Cash is not accepted.
- Check-in and check-out as per hotel policy.
- A booking voucher is issued once payment is received.
- Extra adult 35% and extra child 25% of the package cost (children below 5 complimentary).
- If a listed hotel is unavailable, accommodation is arranged in a hotel of similar standard.
- Transport is provided as per the itinerary and is not at disposal; sightseeing depends on the time available.
- Cancellation 30 days or more before departure: non-refundable deposit (25% of the total package).
- Between 29 and 20 days before departure: non-refundable deposit + 25% of the holiday cost.
- Between 19 and 14 days before departure: non-refundable deposit + 50% of the holiday cost.
- Between 13 and 8 days before departure: non-refundable deposit + 75% of the holiday cost.
- Within 7 days of departure: 100% of the holiday cost.
- Any refund due is paid after Holiday Guru Travel receives the refund from the service providers; processing charges are deducted.
