Forts, palaces and temples set their own timings; Jain temples admit visitors only at set hours. Camel rides, jeep safaris, boats, shows and entry fees are paid locally. The border road to Tanot may need an ID check; carry photo ID.
Arrive at Jaisalmer station or airport, where our representative meets you. Walk into the living Sonar Qila, the golden sandstone fort where people still live, its Jain temples and the Raj Mahal; sunset over the town from the fort walls. Overnight stay in Jaisalmer.

Drive towards the Pakistan border to the Tanot Mata temple (about 120 km), run by the Border Security Force, where shells that did not explode in 1971 are kept, then to the Longewala war memorial of the famous battle. Return to Jaisalmer. Overnight stay in Jaisalmer.

See the Patwon ki Haveli, the Nathmal and Salim Singh havelis and the Gadisar lake. Late afternoon at the Sam dunes for sunset, with a camel ride optional (paid locally). Overnight stay in Jaisalmer.

After breakfast, the Bada Bagh cenotaphs at sunrise if you wish, then the transfer to Jaisalmer station or airport. The tour ends here.

Best time: October to March is the best time to visit Rajasthan; summer (April–June) is very hot, especially in the Thar desert.
