In short: Banswara and Dungarpur is a 3-night, 4-day tour that also covers Udaipur and Mahi Dam. It starts in Udaipur and ends in Udaipur. It includes daily breakfast. The itinerary can be customised.

Forts, palaces and temples set their own timings; Jain temples admit visitors only at set hours. Camel rides, jeep safaris, boats, shows and entry fees are paid locally. Hotels in Dungarpur and Banswara are simple.
Arrive at Udaipur airport or station, where our representative meets you, and drive south to Dungarpur (about 110 km). Visit the Juna Mahal, a seven-storey palace with painted and mirrored rooms (entry paid locally), and watch the sunset over the Gaib Sagar lake. Overnight stay in Dungarpur.

Drive to Banswara (about 110 km), the "city of a hundred islands" on the Mahi river. See the Tripura Sundari temple, the Mahi dam backwaters with their islands, and the Anand Sagar lake. Overnight stay in Banswara.

Visit Mangarh Dham, the hill memorial to the Bhil people killed there in 1913, the Arthuna temple ruins, and a Bhil village of the Vagad region. Overnight stay in Banswara.

After breakfast, drive back to Udaipur (about 160 km) for your onward journey. The tour ends here.

Best time: October to March is the best time to visit Rajasthan; summer (April–June) is very hot, especially in the Thar desert.
