Day 1 — Hubli to Dandeli
Arrive at Hubli airport or station, where our representative meets you, and drive to Dandeli (about 75 km) on the Kali river, in the teak and bamboo forest of the Kali Tiger Reserve. Evening by the river, watching for hornbills coming in to roost. Overnight stay at a jungle resort in Dandeli.

Day 2 — Rafting, Syntheri and the caves
An optional white-water rafting run on the Kali in the season, or kayaking and a coracle ride (all paid locally). In the afternoon, see the Syntheri rocks, a 300-foot granite monolith over the Kaneri river, and the Kavala caves with their natural lingam (steps down; entry paid locally). Overnight stay in Dandeli.

Day 3 — Dandeli to Hubli
An early bird walk for the great and Malabar pied hornbills, then drive back to Hubli (about 75 km) for your onward journey. The tour ends here.

- Between 19 and 14 days before departure: non-refundable deposit + 50% of the holiday cost.
