Day 1 — Hubli to Badami
Arrive at Hubli airport or station, where our representative meets you, and drive to Badami (about 100 km), the Chalukya capital set in a gorge of red sandstone. In the afternoon, climb to the four cave temples cut into the cliff in the 6th century, and watch the light fall on the Agastya lake and the Bhutanatha temples. Overnight stay in Badami.

Day 2 — Pattadakal and Aihole
Drive to Pattadakal (about 22 km), a UNESCO World Heritage Site where the Chalukyas built temples in both northern and southern styles, then to Aihole, the "cradle of Indian temple architecture", with the apsidal Durga temple and over a hundred others (entry paid locally). Overnight stay in Badami.

Day 3 — Badami fort and Banashankari
A morning walk up to the North Fort and the Malegitti Shivalaya, then the Banashankari temple and the Mahakuta group of temples by their tank. Overnight stay in Badami.

Day 4 — Badami to Hubli
After breakfast, drive back to Hubli (about 100 km), with a stop at the Siddharoodha math, for your onward journey. The tour ends here.
