This is a suggested day-by-day plan. Timings, the order of sightseeing and hotels are confirmed with your quote.

This circuit runs only in summer (usually June to October), when the Kunzum La is open. The night at Chandratal is in tented camps; the other nights are in standard hotels or homestays.

  1. Day 1 — Arrive Shimla

    Arrive in Shimla and check in. In the evening, walk along the Mall Road and the Ridge. Overnight stay in Shimla.

  2. Day 2 — Shimla to Sarahan

    After breakfast, drive to Sarahan (about 170 km, 6–7 hours) by way of Narkanda and the Sutlej valley. Visit the Bhimakali temple, built in a mix of Hindu and Buddhist styles, with Shrikhand peak across the valley. Overnight stay in Sarahan.

  3. Day 3 — Sarahan to Kalpa

    After breakfast, drive into Kinnaur to Kalpa (about 110 km, 4–5 hours). In the evening, watch the light on the Kinner Kailash range and walk to Roghi village among the apple orchards. Overnight stay in Kalpa.

  4. Day 4 — Kalpa to Tabo via Nako

    After breakfast, follow the Sutlej and then the Spiti river to Nako, a village by a small lake, and on to Tabo (about 165 km, 7 hours). Tabo monastery, founded in 996 AD, has some of the oldest wall paintings in the Himalaya. Overnight stay in Tabo.

  5. Day 5 — Tabo to Kaza via Dhankar

    After breakfast, drive to Dhankar, whose monastery is built on a ridge above the meeting of the Spiti and Pin rivers, and continue to Kaza (about 50 km in all), the main town of Spiti. Overnight stay in Kaza.

  6. Day 6 — Key, Kibber, Langza and Hikkim

    A full day around Kaza: Key monastery on its hill, Kibber village, Langza with its large Buddha statue and fossil beds, and Hikkim, home of one of the highest post offices in the world. Overnight stay in Kaza.

  7. Day 7 — Kaza to Chandratal via Kunzum La

    After breakfast, drive over the Kunzum La pass (about 4,550 m) to Chandratal (about 85 km, 4–5 hours), the moon lake. Walk to the lake shore in the afternoon. Overnight stay in a camp near Chandratal.

  8. Day 8 — Chandratal to Manali via Atal Tunnel

    After an early breakfast, drive down to Batal and Gramphu and through the Atal Tunnel to Manali (about 120 km, 5–6 hours). Evening at leisure on the Mall Road. Overnight stay in Manali.

  9. Day 9 — Departure from Manali

    After breakfast, check out for your onward journey from Manali. The tour ends here.

  • Check-in and check-out as per hotel policy.
  • A booking voucher is issued once payment is received.
  • Extra adult 35% and extra child 25% of the package cost (children below 5 complimentary).
  • If a listed hotel is unavailable, accommodation is arranged in a hotel of similar standard.
  • Transport is provided as per the itinerary and is not at disposal; sightseeing depends on the time available.
  • Cancellation 30 days or more before departure: non-refundable deposit (25% of the total package).
  • Between 29 and 20 days before departure: non-refundable deposit + 25% of the holiday cost.
  • Between 19 and 14 days before departure: non-refundable deposit + 50% of the holiday cost.
  • Between 13 and 8 days before departure: non-refundable deposit + 75% of the holiday cost.
  • Within 7 days of departure: 100% of the holiday cost.
