Visit the Mahabodhi temple, a UNESCO World Heritage Site, with the Bodhi tree under which the Buddha attained enlightenment and the Vajrasana diamond throne, then the monasteries built by Thailand, Japan, Bhutan and Tibet and the 25-metre Great Buddha statue. In the afternoon, the Dungeshwari (Mahakala) caves where the Buddha practised austerities, and Sujata's stupa across the Niranjana river. Overnight stay in Bodh Gaya.

A quiet early hour of meditation at the Mahabodhi temple, then the transfer to Gaya airport or station for your onward journey. The tour ends here.
