Day 1 — Kathgodam to Almora
Arrive at Kathgodam railway station and drive to Almora (about 90 km, 3 hours), an old Kumaoni town on a ridge. Evening in the Lala Bazaar. Overnight stay in Almora.

Day 2 — Almora to Chaukori via Patal Bhuvaneshwar
After breakfast, drive to Patal Bhuvaneshwar, a limestone cave temple reached by steps down into the hill, and on to Chaukori (about 115 km in all), a tea-garden village facing the Panchachuli peaks. Overnight stay in Chaukori.

Day 3 — Chaukori to Munsiyari
After breakfast, drive to Munsiyari (about 100 km, 4–5 hours), stopping at the Birthi waterfall. Munsiyari sits right across from the Panchachuli range. Overnight stay in Munsiyari.

Day 4 — Munsiyari
After breakfast, visit the Nanda Devi temple, the Tribal Heritage Museum and Darkot village, known for its woollen weaving. Those who want a longer walk can go up to Khaliya Top with a local guide (paid locally). Overnight stay in Munsiyari.

Day 5 — Munsiyari to Almora
After breakfast, drive back to Almora (about 210 km, 8–9 hours) by way of Bageshwar. Overnight stay in Almora.
