Forts, palaces and temples set their own timings; Jain temples admit visitors only at set hours. Camel rides, jeep safaris, boats, shows and entry fees are paid locally.
Arrive at Kota railway station, where our representative meets you. Visit the City Palace and the Rao Madho Singh museum in the Garh, then take a boat on the Chambal river below the gorge to look for gharials and birds (paid locally). Overnight stay in Kota.

Drive to Bundi (about 40 km), the blue town below the Taragarh fort. See the Garh Palace and its Chitrashala of Bundi-school murals, the carved Raniji ki Baori stepwell and the Sukh Mahal on the lake. Overnight stay in Bundi.

Drive to Jhalawar (about 125 km): the Gagron water fort, a UNESCO World Heritage Site surrounded by two rivers, and the Sun temple and Chandrabhaga temples at Jhalrapatan. Return to Kota. Overnight stay in Kota.

After breakfast, a walk through the Kota doria sari weavers' lanes at Kaithoon if time allows, then the transfer to Kota railway station. The tour ends here.

Best time: October to March is the best time to visit Rajasthan; summer (April–June) is very hot, especially in the Thar desert.
