In short: Ajmer Sharif and Pushkar is a 2-night, 3-day tour that also covers Jaipur. It starts in Jaipur and ends in Jaipur. It includes daily breakfast. The itinerary can be customised.
This is a suggested day-by-day plan. Timings, the order of sightseeing and hotels are confirmed with your quote.
Forts, palaces and temples set their own timings; Jain temples admit visitors only at set hours. Camel rides, jeep safaris, boats, shows and entry fees are paid locally. The Urs at Ajmer and the Pushkar fair (Kartik, about November) are very crowded.
Our representative meets you at Jaipur airport or station for the drive to Ajmer (about 135 km). Visit the Dargah Sharif of Khwaja Moinuddin Chishti for ziyarat (head covered), the Adhai Din ka Jhonpra mosque and the Ana Sagar lake, then cross the Nag Pahar to Pushkar (about 15 km) for the evening aarti on the ghats of the holy lake. Overnight stay in Pushkar.
Overnight: Pushkar
Morning at the Brahma temple, one of very few in India, then the ropeway to the Savitri temple on its hill for the view over the lake and the sand country (paid locally). Afternoon in the bazaar and on the Varaha and Gau ghats at sunset. Overnight stay in Pushkar.
Overnight: Pushkar
After breakfast, drive back to Jaipur (about 150 km), with a stop at the Kishangarh marble market if time allows, for your onward journey. The tour ends here.

Best time: October to March is the best time to visit Rajasthan; summer (April–June) is very hot, especially in the Thar desert.
Tours start in Jaipur, Jodhpur, Udaipur or Bikaner, with pick-up from the airport or railway station and transfers and sightseeing as specified on each package. Distances between the cities are long (about 250–340 km), so travel days are mostly on the road.
