Temple timings change through the day (most close in the early afternoon); dress modestly and beware of monkeys in Vrindavan. Holi and Janmashtami are very crowded. E-rickshaws and entry fees are paid locally.
Arrive in Delhi, where our representative meets you, and drive to Mathura (about 180 km). Afternoon darshan at the Shri Krishna Janmabhoomi and the Mathura Government Museum of Kushan sculpture (closed Mondays), and the evening aarti at Vishram Ghat. Overnight stay in Mathura.

Cross the Yamuna to Gokul, where Krishna grew up with Nanda and Yashoda, for the Raman Reti sands and the Thakurani Ghat; Mahavan for the Chaurasi Khamba temple of eighty-four pillars and the Brahmand Ghat, where young Krishna showed his mother the universe in his mouth; and Baldeo for the Dauji temple of Balarama. Overnight stay in Mathura.

After breakfast and a stop for Mathura peda, drive back to Delhi (about 180 km) for your onward journey. The tour ends here.

Best time: October to March is the best time to visit Mathura and Vrindavan; Holi and Janmashtami are spectacular but very crowded.
