Tiger reserve core zones are closed from 1 July to 30 September (and on one weekday afternoon); jeep safaris are booked online in advance, are limited, and are paid locally or quoted separately. Tiger sightings cannot be promised.
Our representative meets you at Nagpur airport or station for the short drive north on the highway to Pench (about 90 km, 2 hours). After lunch at your lodge, an afternoon jeep safari if your permit allows, or a walk in the buffer zone. Overnight stay near Pench.

Two jeep safaris along the teak-clad banks of the Pench river and round its reservoir, where tigers, packs of wild dogs, leopards and herds of spotted deer come to drink (safaris paid locally). Overnight stay near Pench.

After breakfast, drive east to Kanha (about 200 km, 5 hours) through the farmland and forests of Seoni and Mandla districts, arriving in time for an evening walk near your lodge. Overnight stay near Kanha.

Morning and afternoon jeep safaris in Kanha, the park of the Jungle Book, where tigers, gaur and the rare hard-ground barasingha share the wide sal-fringed meadows (safaris paid locally). Overnight stay near Kanha.

A last early safari in Kanha, then drive north to Bandhavgarh (about 250 km, 6 hours) through the Gond and Baiga country of the Maikal hills. Evening free at your lodge near the Tala gate. Overnight stay at Bandhavgarh.

Two jeep safaris in Bandhavgarh's Tala and Magadhi zones, below the ancient hill fort, in one of the best parks in India for tiger sightings, with leopards, sloth bears and vultures too (safaris paid locally). Overnight stay at Bandhavgarh.

A last morning safari, then drive to Jabalpur (about 170 km) and take a boat through the marble rocks of Bhedaghat in the evening (paid locally). Overnight stay in Jabalpur.

After breakfast, visit the Chausath Yogini temple or the Madan Mahal fort, then transfer to Jabalpur airport or station for your onward journey. The tour ends here.
