Tiger reserve core zones are closed from 1 July to 30 September (and on one weekday afternoon); jeep safaris are booked online in advance, are limited, and are paid locally or quoted separately. Tiger sightings cannot be promised.
Arrive at Jabalpur airport or station, where our representative meets you, and drive to Kanha (about 160 km, 4 hours), the sal-forest park that inspired Kipling's Jungle Book. Evening at your lodge near the Mukki or Khatia gate. Overnight stay near Kanha.

Morning and afternoon jeep safaris across Kanha's meadows for tigers, leopards, gaur, and the hard-ground barasingha, a deer saved from extinction here (safaris paid locally). Overnight stay near Kanha.

A final morning safari, then visit a Baiga or Gond village nearby, or the Kanha museum at Kisli. Overnight stay near Kanha.

After breakfast, drive back to Jabalpur (about 160 km), stopping at the Bhedaghat marble rocks if time allows, for your onward journey. The tour ends here.
