Arrive Amritsar, transfer to hotel and check in. Visit the Golden Temple and later visit the massacre of Jalian Wallan Bagh. Afternoon little free time to rest and evening around 3 PM drive to Wagah Border to see the Closing Ceremony, event starts exactly by 5.30 PM everyday. Border closing 'lowering of the flags' ceremony is a daily military practice that the security forces of India and Pakistan.This ceremony takes place every evening before sunset at the Wagah border, which as part of the Grand Trunk Road was the only road link between these two countries before the opening of the Aman Setu in Kashmir in 1999. The ceremony starts with a blustering parade by the soldiers from both the sides and ends up in the perfectly coordinated lowering of the two nations flags, it is called the beating retreat border ceremony on the international level. One infantryman (Jawan) stands at attention on each side of the gate. As the sun sets, the iron gate at the border is opened and the flags are lowered. The flags are folded and the ceremony ends with a retreat that involves a brusque handshake between soldiers from either side. Return back to Hotel and Overnight
Overnight: Amritsar
After breakfast, check out and drive into the Himachal foothills. The first stop is the Chintpurni Temple (about 170 km from Amritsar), one of the 51 Shaktipeeths, for darshan. Continue about 35 km to the Jwalamukhi Temple, known for its eternal natural flames, then drive on through the Kangra valley to Dharamshala (about 55 km). It is a long day — about 260 km in all, 8–9 hours with the darshan stops. Check in on arrival. Overnight stay in Dharamshala.

After breakfast, go up to McLeod Ganj, the seat of the Dalai Lama. Visit the Tsuglagkhang temple complex, walk to the Bhagsunag temple and waterfall, and see the church of St. John in the Wilderness among the deodar trees. Later, see the cricket stadium in Dharamshala with the Dhauladhar range behind it. The evening is free in the McLeod Ganj market for Tibetan handicrafts and cafés. Overnight stay in Dharamshala.

After breakfast, check out and drive to Dalhousie (about 120 km, 4–5 hours) through the Kangra and Chamba foothills. Dalhousie is spread over five hills among pine and deodar forests. After checking in, walk the Mall Road between Gandhi Chowk and Subhash Chowk in the evening. Overnight stay in Dalhousie.

After breakfast, take a day trip to Khajjiar (about 24 km), a wide meadow ringed by deodar forest with a small lake and the Khajji Nag temple. The road passes the Kalatop forest. Return to Dalhousie in the afternoon; if time allows, visit the Panchpula and Satdhara springs. Overnight stay in Dalhousie.

After breakfast, check out and drive back down to Amritsar (about 210 km, 6 hours) via Pathankot. Drop at the Amritsar railway station, airport or a hotel for your onward journey. The tour ends here.
