1. 1

   Day 1 — Amritsar to Wagah Border and Local sightseeing

   Arrive Amritsar, transfer to hotel and check in. Visit the Golden Temple and later visit the massacre of Jalian Wallan Bagh. Afternoon little free time to rest and evening around 3 PM drive to Wagah Border to see the Closing Ceremony, event starts exactly by 5.30 PM everyday. Border closing 'lowering of the flags' ceremony is a daily military practice that the security forces of India and Pakistan.This ceremony takes place every evening before sunset at the Wagah border, which as part of the Grand Trunk Road was the only road link between these two countries before the opening of the Aman Setu in Kashmir in 1999. The ceremony starts with a blustering parade by the soldiers from both the sides and ends up in the perfectly coordinated lowering of the two nations flags, it is called the beating retreat border ceremony on the international level. One infantryman (Jawan) stands at attention on each side of the gate. As the sun sets, the iron gate at the border is opened and the flags are lowered. The flags are folded and the ceremony ends with a retreat that involves a brusque handshake between soldiers from either side. Return back to Hotel and Overnight.

   Day 2 — Amritsar to Dalhousie - Local Sightseeing

   After breakfast, check out and drive from Amritsar to Dalhousie (about 210 km, 6 hours). Dalhousie is a hill station spread over five hills, with colonial-era churches and views of the Dhauladhar range. After checking in at your hotel, visit the local sights such as Gandhi Chowk, the Subhash Baoli spring and St. John's Church, and stroll along the Mall. Overnight stay in Dalhousie.

   Day 3 — Dalhousie Local Sightseeing - Khajjiar Tour

   After breakfast, drive to Khajjiar (about 24 km), a wide green meadow ringed by deodar forests, with a small lake and the Khajji Nag temple. It is often called the "mini Switzerland of India". Enjoy the mountain views from Lakkar Mandi on the way. Optional activities such as pony rides and zorbing are paid locally. Return to Dalhousie in the evening for the overnight stay.

4. 4

   Day 4 — Dalhousie to Dharamshala Local Sightseeing

   Check out and drive to Mc Leodganj (Dharamsala), magnificently set to the background of the Dhauldhar mountains and the seat of his Holiness, the Dalai Lama, the leader of the Tibetans, since 1960. On arrival check in at hotel. Evening visit Dal Lake, Church, Bhagsu Nag Temple and Tibetan Monastery. Overnight at hotel. Dalhousie to Dharamshala distance 120 Kms, 3-4 Hours drive by road

   Day 5 — Dharamshala - Local Sightseeing

   After breakfast, set out on a full-day excursion to two of the 51 Shaktipeeths: the Jwalamukhi Temple, known for its eternal flames, and the Chintpurni Temple. On the way, visit Kangra town and, if time allows, the old Kangra Fort. Return to Dharamshala in the evening. Overnight stay in Dharamshala.

6. 6

   Day 6 — Dharamshala to Chandigarh (280 km, 9 Hours)

   After breakfast, check out and drive from Dharamshala to Chandigarh (about 280 km, 8–9 hours). After checking in at your hotel, visit the Rock Garden, the sculpture garden created by Nek Chand from recycled materials, and Sukhna Lake, a favourite spot for an evening walk. Chandigarh, planned by Le Corbusier, is known for its wide, green avenues. Overnight stay in Chandigarh.

7. 7

   Day 7 — Chandigarh to Delhi

   After breakfast, check out of your hotel in Chandigarh. If time allows, visit the Rose Garden before leaving. Then drive back to Delhi (about 250 km, 4–5 hours). Our driver drops you at the railway station or airport in Delhi for your onward journey. The tour ends here.
