Singapore and Malaysia in one trip
Singapore and Kuala Lumpur are close enough to combine, and different enough that the combination feels like two holidays.
How to split the nights
With 4 nights, spend 2 in Singapore and 2 in Kuala Lumpur, as in our Singapore and Kuala Lumpur tour. With 5–6 nights, give Singapore 3 nights for Sentosa, Universal Studios and Gardens by the Bay.
Road or air
By road, Singapore to Kuala Lumpur takes around 5–6 hours including the border crossing; comfortable coaches run through the day. Flights take about an hour, but with airport time the total is similar. Road is simpler with luggage and cheaper for groups.
Singapore highlights
- Gardens by the Bay and Marina Bay.
- Sentosa Island and Universal Studios.
- Night Safari.
- Chinatown and Little India.
Kuala Lumpur highlights
- The Petronas Twin Towers.
- Batu Caves.
- A day at Genting Highlands, or Sunway Lagoon theme park with children.
Visas
Indian passport holders need a visa for Singapore, applied for through authorised channels. Malaysia's entry rules for Indian travellers have changed in recent years. Check the current requirements for both countries before you book; we help arrange them.
