Inclusions and exclusions: reading a package quote
The inclusions and exclusions list is the most important part of any quote. Here is how to read it.
Typical inclusions
Most of our packages include hotel stays with the meal plan listed (often breakfast, sometimes breakfast and dinner), transfers and sightseeing by private cab as per the itinerary, and driver allowances, tolls and parking. Each package page lists its own inclusions line by line.
Typical exclusions
- Flights and trains, unless stated.
- Entry tickets to monuments, parks and attractions.
- Local transport that the rules require, such as union taxis in Pahalgam, ponies, and cable cars such as the Gulmarg Gondola.
- Meals not in the meal plan.
- Personal expenses such as tips, laundry and phone calls.
GST
Many packages list GST at 5% as extra, billed on a GST invoice. The package page shows whether GST is included or extra.
Extra travellers
Many packages charge an extra adult at 35% and an extra child at 25% of the package cost, with children below 5 complimentary. Some packages use different rates, shown in their terms.
Ask before you pay
If anything in the quote is unclear, ask. It is much easier to fix before booking than during the trip.
